Your child recently received the Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis and you received a referral for Applied Behavior Analysis. What’s next?
Well, you’ve come to the right place. ABA Spectrum Therapy specializes in Applied Behavior Analysis, commonly known as ABA therapy.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the leading, research-based methodology proven to bring about positive, meaningful change in behavior in individuals with autism and learning disabilities. ABA has been endorsed by state and federal agencies, including the U.S. Surgeon General.
ABA uses data to determine the effectiveness of programs once treatment protocols are in place. If data reveals that significant changes are being made, treatment changes are recommended. ABA is used within several treatment approaches such as Natural Environment Teaching, Discrete Trial Instruction, Incidental Teaching, Behavior Management, etc. The goal of ABA therapy is to have the learner master skills to generalization, which means that the learner is proficient in the skill to the extent that he/she performs the skill independently, across different settings and people. -
We do not have a waitlist because we do not want families waiting for services. If you contact us and we do not have availability at that time, we will keep your information on file and contact you when an opening becomes available. We will also provide you resources to help you find providers who are available in your area. We are always recruiting and training new talent, so feel free to check back and see if availability has opened up after some time.

ABA Spectrum is dedicated to working with you for your most precious resource. Once you fill out an intake form, we will schedule a free clinic tour with you. Our staff will work with your insurance for authorization. Once authorized, we’ll schedule an assessment with your child.
Our BCBA will write an individualized treatment plan before scheduling a meeting to review with you.
With your approval, we’ll submit the report to your insurance. Once authorizations is approved, we’ll schedule a start date!

This is really determined on a child-by-child basis and cannot be determined by anyone but the BCBA and treatment team working with your child. ABA is an on-going therapy that can change and grow with your child to cater to their ever-changing needs as they continue to grow older.

A BCBA is an individual with an expertise in the field of behavior analysis. All BCBAs are required to possess a Master’s in ABA, Psychology, or Education. They are also required to complete over 1500 hours of fieldwork in which they must directly work with ABA programs as well as spend about 50% of those hours learning how to work on ABA programming and data analysis.
During that fieldwork they are also required to be supervised by a BCBA who helps guide them through their fieldwork and ensures that they are applying the science correctly and helping them to work on experiencing and teaching all areas of ABA in order to become a well-rounded BCBA.
Once the coursework and fieldwork is complete, they sit for and pass their board exam. So, each BCBA coming into the field is required to have gained a good amount of experience before becoming certified.

A RBT has the same role as an ABA Technician; however they carry the RBT credential which is a nationally recognized professional certification that requires more extensive training.
RBTs are required to have completed a 40 hour ABA training, a competency assessment completed by a BCBA to insure they can perform an array of skills in the ABA field, and to have passed an exam.
They are required to complete competency assessments yearly to maintain their credential.

Our experienced staff includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and Board Certified Associated Behavior Analysts (BCaBA) who work directly with your child and family utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA Therapy is a scientific discipline with over 30 years of research proving its effectiveness for individuals with Autism and Developmental Disabilities.
The primary focus of our services is to increase language, communication and compliance, while reducing disruptive behavior. Our programs also address skill deficits in the areas of visual performance, receptive language, gross motor and vocal imitation, requesting, labeling and answering questions.
